How to Keep Clean Makeup Kits
Wearing makeup is an important part of some women's daily lives. However, a dirty, unorganized kit can cause frustration and even become very dirty. A clean, well organized tray will allow to complete makeup application in a well-organized way with a professional finish.
- Select a tray with compartments. They are the most efficient for your effort.
- Organize each item by their application. Place foundations, blushes, lipsticks, compacts and eye shadows in their appropriate group. Keep a special place for eyebrow pencils, eyeliners and mascaras. This will make it easier to find them when you want to apply them.
- Keep all of your brushes together in an area of the tray where the bristles are flat.
- When applying your makeup, always remember to close each container tightly to avoid spills in the tray. Put each item into the tray after use. This will keep it effectively organized.
- Clean the kit off with a damp rag at least once every couple of weeks. Furthermore, wipe down your items to keep them clean and free of germs. Always wipe the bottle necks with a paper towel before replacing the caps. Repeat the process for your eye pencils and lipsticks. Clean your brushes at least once monthly with baby shampoo.
- Maintaining proper order will give a clean, fresh look when the makeup is applied. When traveling place your items in baggies, do not leave them in the tray. Place all of your items back in their spots once you arrive.
