How to Lace New Women's Converse Sneakers
Converse has been around since the 1950s. With so many colors, limited edition designs and shoe styles, it is unlikely that these popular shoes will ever go out of style. Women’s Converse come in several sizes, so that most anyone can wear them. Lacing these shoes isn't hard, but must be done so the shoe stays on the foot.
- Remove the tissue paper from the inside of the shoe as well as the pair of laces. Untie the laces so that they are separate. Put the shoe on your foot without laces in it. This will allow you to lace your shoe to the perfect comfort level for your foot with little adjustment to the laces.
- Insert one end of the shoe lace through the bottom eyelet of the shoe. Pull the end through both of the bottom eyelets. This is the anchor of the shoe lace. Continue to pull the shoelace through the bottom two eyelets until the remaining laces are even.
- Choose a side to start with. Cross the lace over the top of the shoe until it reaches the opposite side of eyelets that it came from. Thread the lace through the eyelet directly above the one that you just threaded. Do not pull too tightly.
- With the opposite set of the shoe lace, cross it over the first one and pull it through the opposite set of eyelets on the second from the bottom eyelet.
- Continue crossing the laces and threading them through the eyelets until you reach the top of the shoe. While your foot is still in the shoe, tighten the lace to your preference. Tie your shoe to make sure you have adequate room with your laces to do so.
- Repeat this process with your second shoe.
