How to Load PWC in Toy Haulers

The task of loading your PWC, Personal Water Craft, in your toy hauler may sound difficult, but following the steps will help it be much easier. Whether you're spending a day at the river or going on a vacation with your family, safety is important. A completely closed in hauler also protects your PWC from road travel. Even though your hauler carries your 'toys', they are expensive toys that need special care.

  1. Have a friend to help you, it's easier and safer. While your friend directs you, reverse your toy hauler as close as you possibly can to the front end of your PWC. Remember to leave enough space so your loading ramp can fit.

  2. Open both of your hauler's doors the whole way and be sure they are securely locked in place. Lower your loading ramp from the rear end of your hauler.

  3. Place your winch in the hauler, the opposite end of the ramp. Lock it into place, by a hook on that interior wall and a hook on the winch. This will secure the winch in place.

  4. Pull the shorter cable end that is wrapped around the winches drum and clamp it on another hook in the same area of the wall.

  5. Pull the other end of the cable from the winch; clamp it right under the front end of your PWC, to the hook.

  6. Load your PWC by cranking the winch, this is turning the handle to pull the cable in motion toward you.

  7. Leave all cables in place for your unloading process, when necessary.

  8. Place large foam pieces or any type of padding to protect around your PWC. This is necessary in case of possible movement or slight shifting while you are driving.

  9. Use nylon ratchet straps and secure them into hooks on both sides of your PWC and hauler. You could also extend the straps around your PWC and hook ends to both sides of your hauler.
