How to Make Address Labels in Microsoft Works

Do you need mailing labels and have Microsoft Works? You can print mass labels by using Microsoft Works. In fact, you can merge label databases if you have more than one that you are working with. You can create professional looking mailing labels for your business to make you look professional.

  1. Update
the database that you are currently using to make your labels. This
is important because you need to merge these labels with the
Microsoft Works new database for your labels. This is the only way
you can get the labels to print. If you have no current database and
starting from scratch, then you will have no database to work with
    until you make it.

  2. Go
to the Start button on your computer and find the Works icon and
click it. When Works opens you will have a new document that you
will use to create or merge your current database with.

  3. Click
on the “Tools” at the top of the document and then drill down to
“Labels.” Choose the option to create each label with different
information. Next, click the “Label Size” tab and then you can
choose the size you want the labels to be.

  4. If
you have a database, you will want to click the “Database” tab
and then tell Works what database you are going to use. You can
choose new or the existing, which is when you will need to merge the
databases. Select the “Recipients tab” to define the look of
    your labels.

  5. Go
to the “Printing” tab so you can select your options for
printing. Choose “Preview” so you can see how your labels will
look and make sure everything is correct. If you see anything that
needs correction, do not send it to the printer, cancel the preview,
make corrections and then preview again. Test print the preview to
    make sure everything looks correct.

  6. Load
your labels in your printer and print the number of labels you have.
Be sure to save your database for future mailing labels.
