How to Make Craft Foam Christmas Ornaments
There are many different Christmas ornaments you can make using craft foam for your Christmas tree. One craft you can make is a snowflake ornament that you can hang on your tree. It only takes a few supplies and you can make this snowflake craft foam Christmas ornament in a few short steps.
Supplies
- White craft foam
- Google eyes (small)
- Tacky craft glue
- 2 small pink pompoms, or blush
- Red or black marker
- Paper punch
- Scissors
- String
- Paper and pencil or pen
- Glitter or dust
- Use a white sheet of paper and draw a pattern of a snowflake on it that you will use for your ornament. You can find a pattern of a snowflake online, if desired. Trace the snowflake pattern onto the white foam using a pen. Make two identical patterns, and then use scissors to cut the snowflakes out of the foam.
- Put one snowflake on top of the other. You do not want it to match up perfectly, and the points should not overlap with each other. Use tacky craft glue to glue the snowflakes together.
- Use a paper punch to make a hole at the top of the snowflake. Glue two small google eyes onto the snowflake “face,” or you can draw eyes on, if you do not want to use the google eyes.
- Use the tacky glue to glue the small pink pompoms onto the cheek of the snowflake face. Glue one pompom on each side. If you do not have any pompoms, you can use pink powdered blush, pink crayon or paint.
- Draw a smile onto the snowflake face using a red or black marker. Make your snowflake sparkle by adding white glitter or dust onto it.
- Put a ribbon through the hole at the top of the snowflake ornament so you can hang it onto your Christmas tree.
