Themed birthday parties are all the rage and it does not matter if you are a boy or a girl. Themed decorations will carry theme throughout the house or the location where you are hosting your party. While the themes for boys and girls may differ, you can make your own cute brithday party decorations.
- Let them help you to choose their theme. Based on the age and interest of the child, their themes will vary from year to year. Children that choose to be pirates one year may choose to be rock stars the next. Popular movies, video games and other interests can be a source of ideas for themes.
- Research your theme and decorating ideas online. There are many different websites that have some very creative, fun yet easy decorations that will make your party a talked about event.
- Decide what type of decorations you are in need of. Are you looking for something to hang from the ceiling, put on your table or something that your guest maybe able to help you construct? Edible projects are always a lot of fun and can be a decoration as well as an activity for your party.
- Get the birthday girl or boy involved in making your decorations. Let them decide what decorations you will use and then set some time aside to allow them to help you to construct them. Most kids will take great pride in the fact that they made the decorations with you and it will give you bonding time with your child.
