How to Make Homemade Mirror Sunglasses
Mirrored glasses have rear view mirrors that let you see what is happening behind you. These types of glasses are seen in a lot of spy movies. Mirrored glasses are extremely easy to make on a small budget. These glasses are practical and look amazing.
Materials needed:
- Flat glasses
- Flat mirror
- Hacksaw
- Tape measure
- Glue gun
- Glue stick
- Dremel rotary tool
- Razor blade
Measure the length and height of each of the lens in your glasses. Take the measurements and mark them on the flat mirror.
Use the measurements that you just took on the glass. Draw the shape of your two lenses within the measurements.
Use a hacksaw to cut out the shapes that you have just created. Measure one fourth of the shapes that you have just cut out and make a mark with a marker. Cut out the shapes vertically along where your marks are.
Take the smaller ends that you have just created. Use the dremmel rotary tool to smooth out the edges. Make the edges follow the same contour as the lenses in the glasses.
Plug in the glue gun and start warming it up. Put the wet hot glue on one side of the mirror pieces that you have just cut out. Out one into the outer side of each of the lenses and wait for the lens to dry. Take off any glue that is not needed with a razor blade. Be careful so you do not cut yourself.
