How to Make Infant Headbands
If your baby girl has an outfit that you cannot find any accessories for or if you make her clothes and want to be able to match her hair accessories to her outfits, you should consider making your own infant headbands. Not only are they really cute, but they are also easy to make.
How to Make Infant Headbands
Measure a piece of 1 1/2" wide ribbon by wrapping it around the infant's head.
Cut the ribbon so that it fits the head snugly.
Slightly overlap the ends of the ribbon and use a needle and thread to secure the overlapped ends together.
Use 3/4" wide ribbon to make some loopy bows. This can be done by layering the ribbon while it is still on the spool. The layers should be approximately 2 1/2" long and consist of at least three layers.
Once the bow is made cut the ribbon.
Sew the ribbon together in the middle to hold its shape.
Use a needle and thread to attach the bow to the headband. It should be attached slightly off center.
