How to Make Magnetic Business Cards

Magnetic business cards are a great way to remind potential clients of your services.  Many people will put these cards on the refrigerator which keeps the information handy when someone needs your business or services.  You can pay a professional print company to create magnetic cards for your business or you can make them on your own.

Professional printing companies in your area can be found by searching the business listings on MerchantCircle.

Design your own business card using Microsoft Word, if you have not already printed business cards for your company.

  1. Purchase a thin piece of magnetic paper.  This can be purchased at some retail stores and any hobby store.  Be sure to get the magnets that have adhesive on one side and magnet on the other.

  2. Place your business card on the adhesive side of the magnet without removing the adhesive paper.

  3. Draw lines around the business card to create a pattern.

  4. Cut the pattern and make sure that it is the size you need for the business card.  You do not want the magnet bigger than the card or the card bigger than the magnet.  By tracing the card, your pattern should be close to perfect.

  5. Use the pattern to outline as many cards as you wish to create.

  6. Cut out the magnetic patterns.

  7. Remove the adhesive paper from one of the magnets.

  8. Center your business card on the magnet.  Make sure it's placed where you want it.  Once the card is on the magnet, you will not be able to move it.

  9. Put pressure on the card to make sure that it is stuck to the magnet.  You may want to put the magnetic cards under a heavy book overnight to ensure the adhesive has joined the card.

  10. Hand out your magnetic business cards to potential or current customers.
