How to Make Money With Google AdSense
Website owners and bloggers can earn a passive income with Google Adsense. Google places targeted ads on your site, and you receive compensation if someone clicks on one of them. The value of ads varies and Google does not share their method of calculating value. Signup is easy, but Google approves Adsense accounts at their discretion.
- Sign up for an Adsense account. Google does not approve every applicant.
- Place Adsense on your websites or blogs. Do not place your Adsense code on sites with content that goes against Google's terms of service.
- Add SEO content to your sites. Google uses human search evaluators to determine if your content is good or not. A program that contains web activated "spiders" crawls websites and ranks according to keywords. To pass both tests, write good relevant content, but do not overuse keywords. Overusing them is referred to as stuffing and results in low search rankings.
- Observe the performance of the sites. Some sites perform better than others. This is mainly due to competition, value of ads or keywords, traffic and site ranking.
- Set up payment preferences once the threshold is reached. Once your account reaches $50, Google mails paperwork to you containing a personal identification number and instructions. Entering the mandatory PIN verifies that you reside at the address on your account.
- Join forums and network with others that earn money from Adsense. You can gain valuable insight from other experienced website owners. There are many online forums, and joining one helps you keep up with important changes to Adsense rules, ask questions, learn strategies and discover other uses for your sites. For instance, you may choose to sell a website later for a significant profit.
