How to Make Photo Invitations at Home

Photo invitations add a personal touch to any invitation. Why send generic invitations when you can create a special invitation using a photo of the guest of honor? You can create a personalized photo invitation directly from your computer and printer in just a few minutes.

Personalized photo invitations add class to your special event. Whether you are hosting a holiday party, birthday party, baby shower or sweet sixteen party, adding a picture to the invitation shows the guests your creativity.

  1. Select the picture that you want
to use on the invitations. Select a photo that is clear to use on
    the invitation.

  2. Double-click Microsoft Word to
    open the program.

  3. Visit the Microsoft website and
    download an invitation template.

  4. Once the template has finished
downloading double-click the download to add to your Microsoft Word
    library.

  5. Click “Insert” and select
“Picture” to add the photo to the invitation. You can size the
picture by dragging the corner in to make the photo smaller or out
    to make it larger.

  6. Enter the text of the invitation
in the template. This information should include the reason for the
party, the date, time, location, and a phone number for RSVP. Use a
clear legible font large enough for anyone to read, especially if
    you are inviting older guests.

  7. Click “File” and then “Print
preview” to check the invitation for errors.

  8. Click “File” and “Print”
to print one invitation to check the clarity of the picture and
    text.

  9. Click “File,” “Print," and
then select the number of copies needed.
