How to Make Quick Money As a Kid
Many kids are willing to work for extra money when they are unable to get money from their parents. Kids usually earn an allowance, and parents may be willing to pay a little extra for odd jobs around the house. However, there are different ways for children to make quick money.
- Chores around the house. Some parents give their children a little extra when they are making an attempt to earn money. Extra chores can include vacuuming, sweeping floors, scrubbing windows or dusting furniture. Children should try to negotiate a deal and charge one fourth of what a professional cleaning company would normally charge. The extra chores have to be done on top of the regular household duties.
- Sell something to make money. If you have items to sell or can get loved ones to donate items to the cause, then you can have a yard sale. Another option is selling lemonade or cookies. They can set up a lemonade stand and make goodies to sell to the neighborhood.
- Mow lawns in the neighborhood. Many people use a service to mow their lawn. Children can start by asking their neighbors if they can. They should also charge a different fee, depending on the size of each lawn. If the neighbors are satisfied with the work, then they might recommend to other people, which can lead to a larger clientele.
- Provide a dog walking service. It is a quick way for a kid to make money. Some pet owners do not always have the time to walk their dogs, and could benefit from a service. Dogs love going on walks and getting exercise. Children can start the tasks in their neighborhood, and later expand to other areas.
