How to Make Quick Money
Little is worse than having unexpected expenses where you need some quick money, and you need it now. Borrowing may be an option, but it's not an option that many people are comfortable with. When times get tough and you are in a pinch, some creative thinking can quickly pull you out of a bind and teach you a valuable lesson about resourcefulness.
- Selling Blood -Not for the most squeamish, blood is purchased for the plasma content. Finding a location to sell blood near you may not be easy, though. Check with your local hospitals and clinics.
- Junk Metal - This includes anything made of metal, such as old pots and pans, junk cars, metal bathtubs or junk appliances. You can also cash in aluminum cans separately. Aluminum cans are discarded along roadways all the time.
- Local Small Jobs - Walk around your neighborhood and ask your neighbors if they have an odd job they've been putting off. Perhaps they will pay you to do or pay you to help them out.
- Sell Your Unused Items - Anything you have that is lying around unused can be sold if it still has some value. And why keep it around if you are not using it, anyhow? We all have things sitting around collecting dust when we could sell it and use that money where it is needed.
- "Help Wanted" Ads - Your local newspaper and Craigslist ads are both excellent places to find odd or temporary jobs quickly.
- Yard Sales - This is an easy and relatively quick way to make extra cash, though you need to advertise in advance. That may mean posting "Yard Sale" signs around the neighborhood and post office or walking around to let your neighbors know. Perhaps one neighbor can join you, and you can have a larger yard sale and attract more potential buyers.
- Sell Your Gold - If you have old, broken jewelry lying around, it is probably still worth something depending on the gold content. Don't try to sell it to your neighbor, though. Take it to a pawnshop instead. They will only give you scrap value for broken jewelry for the going rate, but it's something.
