How to Make Straight Hair Curly
If you were born with straight hair and long to have curls, it is not impossible for you to achieve this look. With the right hair products and a little patience, you can be walking around with nice curls in no time.
Items Needed
- Brush
- Hair rollers
- Mousse
- Hairspray
- Hair elastics
- Bobby pins
- Scarf
Instructions
- Wet your hair thoroughly and wash it with a shampoo that is designed to add volume to the hair. You should begin this process before you go to sleep at night to give yourself plenty of time.
- Use a volumizing conditioner in your hair.
- Towel dry your hair until it is damp and run a wide tooth comb through it to remove any tangles.
- Comb a curl boosting mousse or gel through your hair while it is still damp.
- Divide your hair into small sections. You can pin up the different sections with hair clips as you work.
- Wrap each section of hair around a hair roller. There are foam hair rollers available that are not too uncomfortable to sleep in.
- Wrap your head in a scarf to keep the hair rollers in place and go to sleep with your hair rollers in.
- Remove the hair rollers from your hair when you wake up in the morning. Run your fingers through the curls to loosen them up, but avoid running a brush through your hair.
- Spray your hair with a little hairspray to keep the curls in place throughout the day.
Tips
- Wet your hair and comb it out. Twist different sections of your hair into tight buns, and secure them with bobby pins or hair elastics. Sleep with your hair in buns and remove the hair elastics in the morning for instant curl.
- Twist wet hair into one or two braids and leave the braid in until your hair dries. This will give your hair nice waves when you take the braid out.
