How to Make Your Own Beach Hair Spray
Spending the day at the beach is great, not only can you get a tan but also you can leave with beautiful wavy hair. If you want that sexy beach hair look but don’t have time to go to the beach, you can create the look at home. A few ingredients and a few minutes is all it takes to mix your own beach hair spray.
- Purchase a clean spray bottle from a drug store or a large retail store. You can use a bottle you already have but be sure it is clean. Do not use a spray bottle that had chemicals in it of any kind. An old hairspray bottle can work fine.
- Fill the bottle with one cup of water. More water can be added if this does not fill your bottle very much. You will need to increase the other ingredients to match the amount of extra water you add to your bottle. The measurements do not have to be exact.
- Add four or five drops of essential oil to the water. You can use any scent you have at home or find at the store that you like. Many people have olive oil already at home in their kitchen. Some oils add extra moisture to your hair. If you do not want to use oil, use hair conditioner instead.
- Add two teaspoons of sea salt to the spray bottle of water. The salt must be sea salt and not table salt. Be sure you know the difference. Adding more salt to the water will stiffen your hair more.
- Mix the ingredients with the lid on the bottle. Shake the bottle to be sure everything is mixed well.
- Spray your hair with the spray bottle until your hair is all wet. You do not need it soaked but it should be completely sprayed with the mixture. Store any unused mixture in the refrigerator.
- Allow your hair to air dry. Pin it up in curls to create more waves if you have naturally straight hair.
- Enjoy your beach hair.
