How to Model for Online Boutiques
Finding a job modeling for an online boutique is often easier than getting hired by traditional stores. Many models try to find work near where they live, which limits the number of places the model can check for employment. A model can apply with many different online boutiques without ever having to leave home.
- Search for online boutiques that interest you. Look for a boutique’s contact information and call or email the company. Find out if the boutique is currently hiring models.
- Look for different online boutiques until you find one that is willing to consider you for a modeling position. If there is an opening, ask what you need to do to apply for the position. Write down the name of the contact person at the boutique in case you have any questions.
- Have some photos taken so you can send them to an online boutique that is hiring models. Look on the boutique website to get an idea of what clothes to wear in the photos. If many of the models use a certain pose in the online pictures, make a note to have a photographer take similar pictures of you during your photo session.
- Send the boutique your photos and follow up if you do not hear back within a few days to make sure they have them. Find out if you meet the boutique’s requirements for modeling. Discuss your compensation and fill out any necessary paperwork to finalize your modeling job.
- Ask your boutique contact person what you need to do next. You should receive specific instructions on where to have your photos taken for the boutique. You should also find out how to access the clothing or other accessories that you will need to model. Stay in touch with your contact at the boutique to make sure you are properly following all of the instructions.
