How to Paint Brands on Bathroom Rugs

Painting brands on anything, especially bathroom rugs can be difficult unless you are an artist. Fortunately, painting brands on bathroom rugs can be done with little experience. The Internet makes it easy for you to create a brand stencil or even create your own brand.

Things you'll need:

• Computer with Internet access


• Drop cloth


• Pen knife


• Printer paper


• Cardboard


• Acrylic spray paint


• Tape

1. Clean the rug thoroughly to get rid of debris, dirt and other substances. If the rug can be washed in the wash machine, do so. Otherwise vacuum the rug to remove the particles. If you do machine wash it, allow the rug time to dry completely.


2. Lay the rug down on top of a drop cloth. This will prevent paint from seeping through and ruining the floor underneath it.


3. Print the brand onto printer paper once you select or make your desired brand. With the paper face up, lay it on top of a piece of cardboard. Create your stencil by cutting out the brand from the cardboard using a penknife.


4. Use the cut out cardboard as your stencil and dispose of the piece of paper you just cut out.


5. Lay the stencil on the bathroom rug however you want the brand to appear. Secure the stencil to the rug using tape to get a more accurate design.


6. Spray over the stencil using acrylic spray paint. Spray to the rug to get the depth of the color that you want for your brand.


7. Allow the paint to dry completely. Remove the tape and the stencil to reveal your brand on your bathroom rug.
