How to Perfect a Golf Swing
Golf is a very popular sport that many people love to play for fun and entertainment. It looks a whole lot easier than it actually is to hit a golf club. Everything plays a factor from proper stance to the follow through when working to have the perfect golf swing.
- Determine what will be the best angle for the shot. What is the distance that you need to hit the ball and what type of shot do you want to do? Ensure that the clubface is one to two degrees closed. As you make impact with the clubface and start to swing back, the clubface should roll open and them back to square.
- Find the proper stance before you swing. Use your right foot to step up to the ball, making sure to ground the club head behind the ball. Keep about 90 percent of your weight on the arch of your right foot and tilt you upper body until your arms are hanging straight down. The upper body is forced to have the correct bend for your swing when you have your weigh on one foot while you prepare to swing the club.
- Maintain proper form when swinging the club. When you first being your backswing, make sure that your arms, hands, right shoulder, club head and shaft are all working together and moving as one single unit. Keep your hip in place at all times, as it helps to build up resistance. Right before your release, the top half of your body should do the turning and twisting.
- Follow through completely with the golf swing. Make sure that you do not stop at the ball or shortly after you hit the ball. You need to follow the swing through all the way in order to hit the ball hard and send it in the right direction. The follow through works as extra guidance to send the ball where you want it to go.
