How to Plan a Cremation Burial
A cremation burial is similar to a traditional service. Instead of having the service at a grave side the ceremony is done elsewhere. You may want to have a viewing before the cremation, or you may choose to honor that person after the fact. There are several things that need to be done to plan these respectfully.
Planning a cremation burial is something that can be very difficult. You will need to go through a lot of paperwork and technicalities in order to get the services that you need for your loved one. It is important that you know how to properly plan for these situations so you will not be so overwhelmed.
- Find a funeral home that you can trust that is affordable as well. Speak with the coordinator that will be helping you to plan the arrangements. You will need to pick an urn and write out the obituary. Visitation hours and a service time will also need to be planned.
- Decide what type of services you want to have. You may want to have catering and flowers and specific music played. Don’t be afraid to ask for advice and information regarding the plans, these coordinators deal with this stuff every day.
- Contact all of the people that will be attending to let them know about the time, date and location of the services. Decide who will be speaking at the services and let them know.
- Get pictures and other pieces of this person’s life put together for the services. Decide how you want everything to be displayed and find the right tools for it.
- Take time for yourself during this process. This is going to be a very draining and difficult time for you. Don’t allow yourself to get overrun with things to do. Don’t be afraid to ask for help and take it when you can.
