How to Polish Chrome Trim

Tarnished and/or dirty chrome will cause your vehicle to look drab. To improve the appearance of your vehicle, you should wash it, wax it, and polish the chrome trim. This task may sound tedious, but it is actually quite simple. Once you are finished, your vehicle and chrome trim will appear good as new.

How to Polish Chrome Trim:

Step 1: Wash the chrome trim with warm water and a mild cleanser. Rinse the cleanser off completely. Repeat this step, until the chrome is completely clean.

Step 2: Apply a generous amount of chrome or carnauba wax to your chrome trim. Apply this wax to the entire surface area of the chrome trim.

Step 3: Buff the chrome trim. You have two options for buffing your chrome trim. You can use a cloth to simply buff the wax onto the chrome trim, or you could use an electric buff. Regardless of your choice, buff until the chrome trim has a shiny finish.
