How to Put Symbols on Aggressive Skates

Aggressive skates are inline skates that have been designed to provide the skater with better grinding and sliding ability. Aggressive skating is a competitive sport which focuses on individual style and the ability to develop new moves. Some skaters may want to customize their skates with team or personal symbols.

• Order the skate with the customization already on the boot. Many online aggressive skating stores will custom make your skate for you. This may include putting team colors and symbols on the boot. This method will cost you more than other do it yourself methods.


• Cut the symbol or design from cardboard. Using spray paint, paint the symbol onto the boot of your skate. This method should be done outdoors in a well-ventilated area. Test the design first on a piece of cardboard to ensure that it will give you the look you desire. This method is the least professional but can give your skates personality.


• Order a decal. Many online stores specialize in making custom decals for your skates. Look online for stores that sell aggressive skate gear and check into their decal customization. Decals will usually last longer than regular stickers and many are designed to hold up to the rigors of daily skating.


• Paint the symbols on your skates. Use appropriate fabric or vinyl paints and customize your skates by panting them yourself. Draw out the design before you begin to determine if you will be happy with the results. Draw the design on the skate in light pencil because you will be unable to correct mistakes made in paint.
