How to Raise Miniature Goldendoodle Puppies
Goldendoodle puppies are adorable and lovable. They make great family dogs and have good temperaments. Knowing how to raise a miniature goldendoodle is important. This way you can train them and keep them healthy and happy members of your family.
A miniature goldendoodle is a golden retriever bred with a toy poodle. These dogs are not yet recognized as a breed but are becoming more and more popular. Knowing how to raise these puppies can be a challenge as with raising any puppy. Here are a few things you will need to do in order to successfully raise a well mannered and socialized miniature goldendoodle puppy.
- Pick out a puppy that stands out for you. Some people will go with the puppy that is the most active and social while others prefer to get the subdued puppies. Some will go with the biggest in the bunch while others opt for the runt. Find the right miniature goldendoodle puppy for you.
- Socialize the puppy as soon as you bring it home. This means letting it be around other animals and people to the point where it will not be nervous around them. Vacuum around the puppy and go about your normal routine so it will not become skittish while you go about your business.
- Work on housebreaking as soon as possible. This means taking the puppy outside as soon as they wake up and after they eat. Praise the puppy as soon as they relieve themselves outside and tell them “no” if they mess indoors.
- Put a collar on the puppy as soon as you get them and let them walk around with a leash for short periods of time around the house they are used to the feel and the weight of it.
