Recording bank fees in your Quickbooks can help you avoid overspending or overdrafting your bank account. Quickbooks records your bank fee, similar to a check charge or cash withdrawal. By taking down these bank fees, you may avoid issues or headaches when it comes to your financial situation.

  2. Make sure the software is up to date with the latest software before recording any of your transactions.

  3. Double-click the Quickbooks program to launch and begin the recording process.

  4. Click on “File” then “Open or Restore Company” to gain access to the correct Quickbooks file.

  5. Select the “Open a company file” button and then click “Next.” Choose the proper Quickbooks file name and open it.

  6. Find the “Banking” option and select it. Locate the “Use Register” option on the top of the screen and then select it.

  7. Find the account that corresponds with the fee you are recording in the drop-down menu. Select “OK” to head on to the next step.

  8. Use your mouse or directional keys and scroll down to the bottom to find a blank transaction space.
