How to Refinish Plastic Chairs
The great thing about plastic chairs is they are so versatile. Not only are they great for outdoor use, but they can also be taken into the house to use as temporary seating when you have guests. They are also easy to take care of and can be easily refinished.
How to Refinish Plastic Chairs
Put some mild detergent in a gallon of warm water.
Use the solution and a soft-bristled brush to clean the plastic chairs.
Use a water hose to rinse the soap off the chairs.
Scrub the chairs down with a mixture of warm water and bleach. The mixture should be three parts water and one part bleach.
Rinse the chairs and allow to dry.
Prep the chair by wiping it down with paint thinner and allow them to dry.
Use a clean brush to apply a coat of latex stain blocking primer and allow it to dry overnight.
Apply a coat of latex paint on the chair. Wait approximately 1 hour and apply a second coat.
