Pry the rotten siding from the house using a pry bar.
Use a reciprocal saw to cut the nails free. Cut all of the nails that are holding the siding to the wall.
Remove any siding that will be replaced. Pull off the tar paper underneath the side and throw it away.
Remove any damaged stud and replace them with new studs.
Mix one part bleach and three parts water. Scrub the wood with the solution and a brush. Rinse the wood and allow it to dry.
Apply house wrap according the instructions on the package.
Use a pencil to mark the area where the siding will begin. Make a chalk line around the house using a level.
Nail the first piece of siding with a hammer. The nails should reach the wall studs. The nails should also be no more than 24 inches apart.
Continue placing the siding starting at the lowest point on the house to the top of the house. Leave 1/8 inch between each adjacent siding piece.
