How to Restore Leather Auto Seats
There is nothing more stylish than a nice car with luxurious leather upholstery. Unfortunately, like other types of upholstery, leather can become worn out or cracked. Below are some tips on how to maintain and restore your automobile's leather seats.
In order to restore your car's leather interior, you must thoroughly clean it with products that are designed for leather car upholstery. As you are cleaning the material be sure to get a decent lather, and then wipe the product off with a dry towel. You can choose any brand or product that is suitable for auto upholstery. Or ask a professional which brand is recommended.
Once the seat has dried, you will want to condition the seat with a suitable product. The best way to do this is to pour the product onto a clean cloth and apply it all over the seat in a circular motion, let it sit for about five minutes, and then buff it in with another cloth. Try to get all of the crevices and creases in the seat.
Since the driver side is uses more often than the passenger side, make sure to pay extra attention to that side. Any crack or tears may have to be looked at by a professional.
