How to Seal a Driveway
By sealing your driveway you are forming a protective barrier that will prevent oil stains, tire marks, and mold from forming. A sealer will give your driveway a topcoat shine that will complement other fixtures in your yard. This will increase your home's curb appeal and value.
How to Seal a Driveway:
Step 1: Cut the area of your lawn that is close to your driveway, and trim down your bushes and hedges that are hanging over your driveway.
Step 2: Sweep all small rocks and debris off your driveway. Pull out any weeds you discover in the cracks of your driveway.
Step 3: Clean your driveway with a mixture of dish liquid, bleach, and hot water. Use a scrub brush to scrub away stains. Rinse thoroughly.
Step 4: Allow the driveway to dry for several hours.
Step 5: Use concrete to fill in any cracks in your driveway. Allow the concrete to dry for 24 hours.
Step 6: Stir your sealer well. Pour the sealer on the driveway.
Step 7: Use a brush to spread the sealer onto the entire driveway. Allow the sealer to dry for 24 hours.
Step 8: Apply a second coat of sealer to your driveway. Allow the second coat to dry for 24 hours.
