How to Sell a Proposal to Executives for Printing Services

Being an executive is an important job, and primary responsibility is to make a profit. So trying to convince an executive that your printing services are the best can be tricky, but manageable. When you go to meet the executives you should make sure that you not only look professional, but can deliver your services while being friendly and honest.

  1. Gather your needed supplies. You will need: business cards, printing service proposals, sample brochures, sample flyers, sample booklets, a cost analysis sheet, a competitor comparison list, a contract and an order form. Also, before the meeting, do some research about the company so it shows you are competent and will be able to help their company and their needs.

  2. Show up to the business meeting on time and with your needed supplies. Hand out your companies proposal and business card to every person at the meeting. This shows off the quality of your business with these two items. Talk about their company so that it shows that you know about the company and it's needs. Then compare the value and quality of your printing services against in-house printing.

  3. Look through and explain the proposal with them. Make sure to talk about other companies that you worked for that were similar to theirs, and how their business improved because of your services. Then explain the cost analysis sheet that goes along with your printing services to new customers, contracts, and profits.

  4. Show them your price list page that includes your cost-saving values, in relation to purchase volume and seasonal deals. Offer them a wide range of contracts, lasting a month, six months, or a year. Then show a variety of payment options. Make sure to include a promotional discount, which will help you get them to sign a contract with you.

  5. Show them the comparison sheet that documents your competitor's prices. This is a way to show and convince them that your personalized services are better.

  6. Ask for their business. This is when you should have them sign a contract, and help them fill out their first order. Then make sure that you set up the delivery time, and a follow-up time to track customer satisfaction.
