How to Send an Email to Fax Via a Smart Phone

A fax, an electronic document transmitted between two machines, is easily sent via smart phone and the Internet. This turns the smartphone's camera into a digital scanner, making it easily transferable to an email to fax program.

1. Sign up with an email to fax
   service. An email to fax service will transform an email account

   services.


2. Scan your document. Open up your
   camera application and find the camera scanning option.


3. Take a picture of the document you
   would like to fax. Make sure the document is lying on a flat surface
   and fill the entire screen with the image. After the picture is
   taken, save the file as a JPEG in an easy to remember location.


4. Open your email application on
   your smartphone, and create an email. Click on the “attachments”
   button, and attach the JPEG file with the saved document in it.


5. Type fax number in the “To”
   section, followed by the email address given by the email to fax
   service. Click the “Send” button and the fax machine will
   receive the documents very quickly.


6. Check the transmittal. The first few times you use the service, you may want to call your intended recipient to ensure that the fax arrived properly with no formatting issues.
