About Cleaning Laundry Organically

How to Start a Laundry Company

Laundry companies are a popular type of business to start. The reason for this is because once they are up and running they are easy to maintain and almost turnkey. Most laundry companies can even be open 24 hours a day year round without an employee needing to be present.

  1. Find a location in a largely populated area. Try to make the location in a safe area with plenty of lighting. This will make customers who need to do their laundry late at night feel safer. The location should be large enough to accompany several washer and dryers. Try to find an area where there is little or no laundry competition.

  2. Purchase some heavy duty washers with large load capacities. People don't normally enjoy having to sit and wait on their laundry, so the larger the machines and the faster they wash the clothes, the happier your customers will be. Buy the same amount of dryers. You should also have several vending machines. They should provide snacks and drinks, and one should provide things such as laundry soap, and dryer sheets.

  3. Hire a independent maintenance worker. You shouldn’t worry about hiring a full time or even a part time maintenance worker, just one that can be available when you need them. This will save you money because you may rarely need maintenance done to your machines.

  4. Keep your laundry company clean and presentable. People will be going to your laundry facility in order to clean their clothes, so the last thing they will want is to do that in a dirty facility. Keep all of your equipment well maintained and advertise your business locally.
