How to Start a Tire Repair Service Business

Tires are an essential part of a vehicle. Without tires you simply can't drive. Tires are also easy to puncture or tear. Unfortunately, tires can also be very expensive and you may not be able to purchase new tires every time something goes wrong. This makes a tire repair company a very in-demand service.  


 


  1. Find a good location to start your tire repair service. The ideal location will have at least one large garage door and room to take a vehicles tires off. Depending on what is wrong with the tire, you may need several tools in order to fix it. You must have enough room for these tools as well. In order to keep customers comfortable and happy you should have a waiting room with chairs. Fixing a tire can take time, and if you keep your customers comfortable and happy, they will more then likely use your services again.

  2. Acquire a business license from your state. In order to start a tire repair service legally, you will need to be approved for a license. Qualifications in every state are different so make sure you have read and achieved all of the requirements before applying.

  3. Advertise your business to the public. When you are advertising for tire repair services you should advertise not only to individuals, but to businesses as well. Small auto dealerships that don't have a repair service of their own may use your services. Other businesses with a large fleet of vehicles such as bus or truck driving companies are another great place to ask for contract business.

  4. Keep all of your customers happy. This will get you word of mouth business and keep existing customers coming back time and time again.
