How to Store Golf Equipment
Golf equipment is not cheap and you need to know how to take care of it properly so it can last you many years. There are certain things you can do to store golf equipment, so your clubs will last much longer and work better for you. You can learn how to store golf equipment in a few short steps.
Supplies
- Head covers
- Soft towel
- Soap
- Do not keep your golf equipment outside. You should not even keep them sitting in your garage or in your car. Sitting in the hot heat can cause the grip to weaken due to melting the glues beneath it. They can also ruse more easily due to humidity.
- Put head covers on your woods. If you have iron golf clubs, you don’t have to use head covers. You should, however, use a cover on your putter.
- Find the best place in your home to keep your golf equipment. It doesn’t matter where you store them, as long as it is a place that is kept cool and free from humidity. If you have a large closet, for example, you can store them there.
- Make sure your golf bag is always kept in the upright positing when storing your golf equipment. This will stop your clubs from banging together and getting scratched up.
- Clean your golf clubs before you store them. You should clean them well after each game. Remove any dirt or grass that may be on them using a soft towel and warm soapy water. Dry them completely before you put them in the bag. You do not want them to become rusted.
