Frigidaire Gallery Professional Series refrigerators are designed to meet the demands of the consumer. The Gallery Professional Series refrigerators are built strong; however, sometimes problems occur. Save money by troubleshooting a problem with a Frigidaire Gallery Professional Series refrigerator yourself.
Items Needed:
- Filters
- Level
- Replacement breaker
- Allow 24 hours for the Frigidaire Gallery Professional series refrigerator to stabilize after connecting and positioning.
- Place a level along the bottom of the refrigerator to check to see if the refrigerator sits level on the floor and adjust as needed. A refrigerator that is not level may run for too much time and utilize more electricity than necessary.
- Examine the freezer setting on the control panel to assure that it is not switched off or to “0.” The compressor will not run if the freezer is switched off.
- Check the electrical plug to assure a secure attachment to the wall outlet.
- Examine the breaker box for a breaker that may need replacing or switching to the “on” position.
- Watch the refrigerator carefully for 30 minutes. The compressor will not run in the defrost mode, which takes 30 minutes.
- Troubleshoot the icemaker in the Frigidaire Gallery Professional series refrigerator by examining the wire signal arm, if the freezer section is not producing ice. The arm should be in the down position to signal the freezer section to produce ice.
- Turn the icemaker power switch to the on position.
- Replace the filter cartridge for the icemaker, if the icemaker is producing an insufficient supply of ice.
- Remove ice cubes that are clogging the water line or ice container.
- Telephone a repairman, if the problem continues.
