How to Upload Pictures
Taking pictures with your camera or cell phone can be fun. You are always able to get pictures of your family and friends having a good time. Getting the pictures off of your cell phone or camera is necessary if you want to print pictures. A camera device can only hold a certain amount of pictures.
In order to take more pictures, you will have to upload the old pictures to your computer.
Depending on your cell phone or camera, you may have the ability to automatically upload your pictures to Facebook or other social network.
You can also send your pictures as an email attachment from your cell phone.
If you do not have the ability to upload pictures automatically, you will need the cord that came with the device to connect to your computer or you will need a card reader. A card reader can be purchased in the electronics department of most stores. This reader will connect directly to your computer.
Connect the card reader or the camera’s cord to the computer’s USB port. If you have the cord, connect the other end to your camera. Turn the camera on. Follow any instructions on your camera’s screen.
If you are going to use the card reader, take the memory card out of the camera. Put the card into the reader.
If your computer does not automatically ask you what you want to do with the pictures on the connected device, you should right click on the green start button.
Select explore. Find the drive with your pictures.
Select the appropriate drive and highlight the pictures you wish to upload to your computer.
Right click on the pictures. Select copy.
Find and open the file with your pictures.
Right click on the folder and select paste.
Your pictures will then upload to the selected folder. You may need to go back and delete all pictures from your camera or memory card.
