How to Use Curly Hair Extensions
Looking to add volume to your hair? If so, adding curly hair extensions can add both volume and length. If you have had straight hair all of your life and are looking for something different, try curly hair extensions. Curly hair extensions are so simple to use, there is no reason not to try them.
- Use curly hair extensions by
braiding them into your hair. This is best used for individual
braids, as opposed to an all over hairstyle. The curly extension braiding
hair has two types, synthetic (less expensive, but cannot be washed)
and human hair (more expensive, but easily washed). - Use bonding to apply curly hair
extensions. This method involves gluing extensions to the scalp.
There is a special type of glue that must be used. Bonding can be
quite messy, but it is quick and lasts until the hair is washed. - Add extensions to a ponytail. This
method is probably the cleanest and fastest extension method. It involves pinning
curly hair extensions into a ponytail. Clipping the hair extensions
(using a circular pattern) around the base of the ponytail secure
the extensions into the place. The thickness of the ponytail depends
on the amount of hair that is added. For a full and thick ponytail,
add more extensions. - Clip the curly extensions into the
hair. Clip-in extensions are popular because they are quite an easy
way to add both volume and length. The hair is already curled and
has been pasted to a clip-in comb. Clipping the comb into the
desired spots creates volume where you want it. - Weave curly hair extensions into
the hair. Weaving curly hair extensions into the hair involves
weaving the hair into cornrows and sewing the extensions on top of
the cornrows with a noodle and thread.
