How to Use the Bissell Quick Steamer

The Bissell Quick Steamer provides an economical way of quickly and easily cleaning your floor, ridding it of dirt, sand and other pollution detrimental to the life of your flooring. A handy tool, the Bissell Quick Steamer features a small removable tank in the back for water and cleaning liquid of your choice.

Things You Will Need:

  • Bissell Quick Steamer

  • Bissell Carpet Cleaning Formula

  • Hot Water

Instructions on How to Use the Bissell Quick Steamer

  1. Remove furniture, toys, baskets, rugs and any other items from the floor, and thoroughly vacuum the area desired for steam cleaning.  Flooring will dry within a few hours so plan accordingly.

  2. Lift the cleaning liquid tank from behind the Steamer and remove the black cap from the bottom end of the tank.

  3. Fill the tank to the designated line with your preferred choice of Bissell carpet cleaning formula, such as Bissell’s Fiber Cleansing Advanced Formula, Multi-Allergen Carpet Shampoo or Pet Stain and Odor Advanced Formula. Fill the remainder of the tank with hot water.

  4. Securely tighten the cap back on cleaning liquid tank and return it to its original location.

  5. Depress the gray button at the base behind the Quick Steamer and roll it to your desired area of cleaning, turning it on by gently stepping on the red button next to it.

  6. Squeeze the trigger at the handle to disperse the cleaning solution/water mixture. Do not overly soak the area.

  7. Cross over the freshly wet carpet area, without depressing the trigger, to soak up the excess water. Continue until the collection tank at the base of the Steamer has clean water entering it.

  8. Remove the collection tank when full, indicated by way of the fill line, by releasing its latches and lifting it up and out of the Steamer. Empty the dirty water into a sink or tub, paying careful attention to its contents, such as pet hair, to avoid clogging your pipes.
