Laws for Skate Parks
Any public park or recreation center must adhere to certain laws. Skate parks have laws to keep the skaters safe and the viewers. Each park may have state laws that are also followed by township laws. Skaters who are unruly and cause crime have caused heavy supervision to be placed on skate parks.
Creation
The creation of a state park usually comes from a petition to give skaters a legal place to skate. However, many considerations are taken into effect before a skate park is built. The builders must follow several laws before they are able to build. They need to get permission from the township and usually have a petition signed from the supports of the skate part. Of course, certain zoning laws and business licenses need to be obtained before the building of such a park.
Laws
There are state laws and federal laws that affect the rules of the game for a skater. Some laws mandate that a skater must wear protective gear while skating in a public skate park. Townships usually have a way to free themselves from injury liability through private insurance. Most skaters must skate at their own risk, especially if they refuse to wear protective gear. Depending on crime rate and location, some skate parks are mandated to close early to reduce crime. If funding is available then these skate parks are patrolled by law enforcement to keep crime rate low.
Fines
If certain laws are not followed while in a skate park there is bound to be fines. These fines can be enforced by local law enforcement through the local government. You could be fined for not wearing protective gear while skating in a public skate park. These laws vary by state and counties but should be followed to avoid further fees.
