Patio Blinds Repair
Patio blinds are often very affordable and can add style to a room and block out sunlight; however, at times the blinds may often become tangled when moving them or fall off completely. As the blinds get older the string may break off completely leaving it nearly impossible to move the blinds. Knowing how to fix them will save you money down the road, instead of replacing them completely.
When repairing patio blinds you will need to set aside at least an hour to fix them. You will also need a screw driver, staple gun, something to pull the staples, and a patio blinds repair kit. A patio blinds repair kit is optional, however, it will make repair much simpler.
- Remove the clamps that are located at the very top of the blinds.
- Cut and remove the cord or rope that aids in the movement of the patio blinds.
- After cutting the cord it may be removed completely if it is broken.
- Remove the plastic clips that hold each blind in place. They are located at the very top of the blinds.
- Once the plastic clips are removed new tape can now be added in its place for the blinds. Attach each piece of the blinds according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer.
- If the cord is broken it will need to be detached completely, and replaced with a new cord.
- Once you are ready to add a new cord you will need to place it at the base of the blinds, which is located at the very top. Thread the cord through each blind until you reach the end.
