Privacy Garden Plans
A privacy garden allows you to add privacy to any outdoor space while providing the beauty of nature. You can use a privacy garden to eliminate the need for a fence by using tall shrubs or trees in place of a fence. Not only is this much more of a natural look, it is also an economical solution as well.
- Use trees to create instant privacy along a property line to separate your property. It is best to choose large trees that are already matured so that you can add instant privacy without having to wait for a seed to mature into a mature tree. Be sure to consider any future growth of the tree when planting to ensure the root system of each tree has space to grow.
- To create a shorter divider that will define the properly line without completely enclosing the space you can use shrubs or hedges. Use the same type of hedge or shrub around the entire perimeter of the home to create a beautiful and natural fence. You can choose a variety of hedge or shrub that has flowers in order to add a touch of beauty and color.
- Carefully mark out the area where you are going to be planting the privacy garden. It is a good idea to make a plan on paper as well that is complete with measurements of the dimensions of the garden, as well as the size of the trees, shrubs or hedges that you are using in order to plan accordingly on how many plants you are going to need to adequately fill the space.
- It is best to bring the sketch that you have made of the privacy garden you would like to create into the nearest nursery and garden store to consult with a professional associate. The sales associate should be able to suggest the type of plants you need to create the design plan you have drawn out.
