Specifications of an Armstrong Furnace

Founded in 1928 in Columbus Ohio, Armstrong Furnace has manufactured quality heating and cooling products for over 90 years. Offering quality climate control equipment for both homes and businesses, now leading the way in environmentally friendly products by removing volatile paint and lubricants from all products.

Armstrong's gas furnace line carries three main models:

Ultra Home Comfort

The AFUE rating ranges from 96%, 95% and 80% depending upon which model you choose. The AFUE rating is in the title of the product.  The AFUE rating determines efficiency of the product.  A rating of 96% means that 96% of the heat cost goes into your home.  The higher the AFUE rating the more efficient the model.   The Ultra Comfort line offers 96% Modulating, 96% Variable and 80% Variable.  Modulating fan saves energy by two thirds over standard motors, thus qualifying for Energy Star designation.  Modulating heat stabilizes heat fluctuations in the home maintaining a comfortable environment.  The variable speed blower offers dehumidification removing excess moisture from the air when paired with a compatible air conditioning system.  All units offer state of the art monitoring and adjustment of temperature, fan speed offering consistent temperature using less energy.

Premium Home Comfort

This system has an AFUE rating of 95%.  Comes standard variable speed electronically self-modulating blower, allowing more heat circulation when needed, and slowing down when the temperature is stable.  Prevents hot and cold spots in the room.  The two stage heating unit keeps the home warmer  on colder days and shifts into low when needed. The humidity control feature removes the excess atmospheric moisture in the home when paired with a compatible A/C unit.  Housing unit reduces motor noise and fan vibration. Offers two models, 95% High Efficiency and 80% Hi Efficiency

Standard Home Comfort

Models include the 95% Efficiency stainless, 95% Efficiency, 93% Efficiency, and the 80% Efficiency.  Each are AFUE rated, according to their model name.  Each of the 95 and 93 models qualify for the Energy Star program.  Each comes with a single stage heating capacity.  Each has an alumanized heat exchanger and is housed to reduce both motor and fan noise.

Armstrong's oil furnace line carries two main models:

Ultra Home Comfort

These units offer 83 AFUE ratings, Becket burners which burns cleaner and more efficiently.  The fan system circulates air removing cold and hot pockets. Moving air efficiently at low speeds saves energy.  Solid state construction, self diagnosing and self adjusting maintaining heat and saving energy.

Premium Comfort

Rated at an 83 AFUE saving energy, Electronic controls digitally optimize all functions.  Becket burners offers clean fuel burning and efficient utilization of oil. Both the burner and fan are electronically controlled and self adjusting.
