Get a motorcycle manual from your state's motor vehicle division.
You will study the manual to gain knowledge for a motorcycle permit first.
After you feel comfortable with what you have studied, go to your state's motor vehicle division and complete the form for a motorcycle learner's permit. Present your driver's license and pay the fee for the test.
Take the test and pass it to obtain a motorcycle learner's permit.
Apply what you have learned on the roadways. A licensed motorcyclist must accompany you when you ride.
Get the required amount of hours you need under the permit.
Once you feel comfortable, make an appointment with the motor vehicle division to take the road skills test for your motorcycle license. You must take a motorcycle, your motorcycle permit, and driver's license.
Pay the fees for the test. If you pass the test, you will receive your motorcycle license.
