The Best Bridal Boutiques
People have their own opinions about what bridal boutique is the best. What many people fail to explain is what makes a boutique the best. Brides should be told what the criteria is, so that when they go looking they can spot a bad boutique right away.
Staff
When you walk into a boutique, the staff should be friendly and greet you. They may ask if you need help or have any questions, but that is all they should do, unless you specifically ask for more. There is nothing worse than walking into any store and feeling like vultures are watching you. There are bad bridal shops that will take advantage of you. If the staff makes you feel comfortable, you likely have walked into a good store.
Selection
Look closely at the designers and brands. If the store is only carrying two lines of dresses they are not likely to be happy about ordering something completely out of their comfort zone. You are the bride it is your dress and the shop should be willing to obtain whatever you want.
Communication
If the shop is keeping you in the loop and is open with you about what is happening with your dress, then they are doing it right. Your shop should talk to you and make you aware of any issue at all.
Patience
If the staff and owner have patience for you moods and change of mind, without making nasty faces or remarks, then you are set. The last thing any bride needs to deal with is attitude, especially from those who should be helping her.
Ask friends for suggestions and about their experiences, hearing from others is a great way to determine if you are truly visiting the best bridal boutiques.
