Tips for Running Mini Golf Courses
Mini golf courses are a fun place to take the family or a date for some cheap entertainment. When it comes to running a mini golf course, there are a few things that many people look for before they decide to play.
- Cleanliness: making certain that there is no garbage on the mini golf course and the turf is not torn up for easy play is important. If the golf course looks like it hasn't been cared for, which could even include a simple coat of paint on the obstacles, can make a huge difference for patrons.
- Overall Challenge: The overall challenge of the course is important to mini golf course players. If there is a possibility of changing up the course so that it is not always the same or the courses vary in challenge, the more likely it will be picked over other mini golf courses in the area.
- Equipment: Making sure that the equipment is working properly, isn't bent and is in overall good condition is important. Nobody wants to use a golf club that has a club that twists, a ball that is missing chunks and doesn't roll or some other challenge that prevents them from playing at their best. Retiring old equipment is important to people playing mini golf because it shows them that you care about them coming in.
- Hours of Operation: Some indo golf courses offer black light golf while other mini golf courses have extended hours during the summertime. Making sure that the hours of operation are consistent and open long enough that people can actually go and play mini golf is important to patrons. It is unreasonable to think that only being open until five or six PM is reasonable when most people don't get off work until that time.
