Tool Organization for RC Model Workshop
Working on RC models will require you to have many tools and accessories. You will need a place to store them. The simplest way to accomplish that is to purchase at least one tool storage box and one toolbox that can be locked for your chemicals. Neatly organized tools will make you more efficient and save time.
- Buy a toolbox for you tools that will separate them into groups. This way they can be located easier. For instance you would place small files in one drawer or section and cutting tools in another. Most toolboxes have sections just for this purpose.
- You can buy toolboxes today that are made of hard plastic. They will not rust nor are they heavy. They will have many options such as drawers or dividers that separate tool types. They are especially great for smaller tools and parts such as you have in RC modeling.
- Get a toolbox that is large enough to hold all of your tools. You do not want them sprinkled all over your workshop when you need them. You should be able to go to one place to find the tool you need.
- Make the toolbox portable if at all possible. You can take it with you when you are going out with your RC models in case any repairs or adjustments are required.
- Purchase a toolbox for your chemicals as well. They are in fact part of your tools in a sense. You will be using a lot of them and you want them safe and secure. The last thing you would want is for a child or a pet to get into them and get sick or die. Most of the chemicals used in RC building and repair are dangerous to both the inner you and your skin. The chemical toolbox should have the ability to be locked and secured to prevent any accidents from occurring.
