How to Do Yoga Eye Exercises

Types of Eye Exercises to Improve Vision

You can slightly improve your eye vision and eye focus by doing small eye exercises 15 minutes a day. Most of these exercises will benefit you if you have terrible jet lag or a sleep disorder. Many vision problems stem from tired and weak eyes that need focus exercise to regain their strength.

Palm Exercise

This exercise is known to relieve any stress circling around the eye. You will have to relax yourself before starting this exercise, as well as staying away from the television or computer. Place the middle of your palm over your eyes with your fingertips reaching to your forehead. Don’t add too much pressure, make sure you are still able to blink while your eyes are completely covered. This is all you have to do when it comes to the palm exercise. It is merely helpful for relaxing your eyes and keeping them healthy.

Focusing Exercise

Sit down while feeling relaxed without any tension. Place your thumb at arm’s reach in front of your face, pointing it upwards. Focus your eyes on your thumb as you sway it back and forth. You can do this portion of the exercise for about 5 minutes until your eyes feel a bit weary. The last part is to focus on something at a distance of 10 to 20 feet. Keep your eyes only on the object and hold the position for five seconds at a time.

Hard Blinking

Improving your vision with a few hard blinks throughout the day will help your eyes feel adjusted. This keeps eyes from building up too much tension from being tired or staring at a screen. Shut your eyes tightly for about 10 seconds and reopen them. You can do this at least five times a day depending on how tired your eyes feel.
