There are many different types of books that can be purchased to help children identify and select different types of rocks to collect. Children learn science and genealogy when collecting rocks. Children can keep their special rocks in a fish tank or other special made containers.

Leaf Collections

Many children are fascinated by the different types of colors and types of leaves. Leaf collecting is a great way to teach children the different types of leaves and the trees they are found on. The leaves can be saved and plastered into special books and your child can have found labeling each leaf.

Scrapbooking is a great hobby for children to get creative. Scrapbooking teach children the importance of different times and events from the past. It gives them a chance to reflect on different times in their lives or a friend of theirs. In order to scrapbook a child will need a lot of patience.
