I was recently taken advantage of by Audio Works, and these good reviews are likely all written by the same people who work at Audio Works. Notice how so many of the positive reviews mention that the person: Spends too much money on his car; Travels from some far distan...ce away; and Has so much experience??? These are phony reviews, and you, the potential consumer, ought to beware and take your business to one of the big box electronic stores where you can have your complaints taken care of instead of having this review process as your only recourse. No shop is going to operate without having some hurt feelings on the part of its customers, but my experience and the experiences of others here should show you that this is a risk. Mike want to see what's going on with you. Confused on your approach and want to make sure your talking about the same company. We've moved our location from the Kirkwood Highway store since November of 2007. There was another car audio store that opened in our place as... soon as we moved out. We moved to Newark Shopping Center and it looks as though you went there to get your work done. The name of the company is very close to ours. They installed a compustar alarm Daren and some young kid installed. It when i went to get my car repaired at the dealer they took me and showed me that no connections were done right just stripped the wire and electrical tape them together no splice connectors not sold...er. I spent 600 dollars and they couldnt get it to remote start correctly without pressing buttons and going to the car and turning the key thats pointless if you want remote start you want to start it not being inside you car with a key. I took it joes car stereo he has seen some shody work from there and i wont be going back. Read More

I dont know what "steve" is talking about. I left my box there for 2 months! one day went to get it and they knew exactly what i was talking about and got the box for me. So no they dont steal. I highly doubt they would threaten because they are a bunch of very nice guy...s who do know how to run a business. Anyway I go in the a lot and have nothing but nice things to say. They always say hello and talk with me.. Maybe if you try to be nice you will get something done with them. Yeah they are a tad bit expensive but very worth the money they put in 2 12" Memphis subs a 500 Watt memphis amp and a custom made box for a decent price but it was well worth it for they they did an amazing job.
