Great business!!
Both of my boys have been taking classes at BAMA for over a year now and we couldn't be happier! Guru George is an amazing teacher. He genuinely cares about his students and is the kind of role model you want in their lives. He makes class fun for the kids while teach...ing them valuable lessons about confidence and respect, self worth and defending themselves. Always clean, friendly atmosphere. We are so proud to be part of this family.
Fantastic family owned & operated business
My daughter originally wanted to started doing "karate" after attending a birthday party held at a martial arts business. There are several karate / martial arts businesses within the greater Danbury area & I was debating on which place to chose for her based... on tuition & schedule etc. My CFO at the time (who is a 2nd degree black belt) advised me to pick the institution not based on price or class schedule but based on the instructor(s). The instructors / business owner for BAMA are phenomenal. Their primary focus is not only to teach the art of martial arts but to also teach my child invaluable life lessons on self defense along with self confidence through martial arts. I have seen such an amazing progression in her ability level along with her self confidence and respect towards others since starting at BAMA. This is an exceptional family owned business and we highly recommend it to all everyone that we know.
Great Instructor and a Good Investment in My Kid
My son has been at BAMA since it was Karate America, and it's been a revelation for us. While going through some tough personal transitions, it's been one of the constants in terms of quality teaching (thank you, George and all your helpers!), instilling discipline, and... engendering confidence. Those are skills that help my son in so many walks of life. Rather then the shy, reserved kid he once was, he now is constantly using his 'polite greetings' to make friends with other kids. I consider Guru George an inspiring mentor and a good friend. You can't go wrong bringing your kids here!
Karate America, A True Black Belt School!!!
Our daughter has been going to Karate America for the past 12 years. She started at the age of 5 and is now getting ready to go to college. There is no other martial arts school that can even compare!! Guru George is a very talented teacher in both the martial arts as w...ell as everyday life!! We have always been very happy with all of the instruction that our daughter has received. The training and self defense are only part of what she has learned at Karate America. Learning respect for others, martial arts and herself are qualities that have been instilled in her by Guru George. As her parents over the years we have seen these skills shine through every day. She now helps with teaching and looks forward to attending class as much as she can.If you are looking for a martial arts school, you can be assured that Karate America is the Best!!

Karate America offers so much more than just an after school activity. Our son has been a student at Karate America for the past 3 years. In that time, we have seen him grow from a timid boy, clinging to our side at birthday parties and crowded events, into a confident ...child who often takes the lead in group. We have seen tremendous improvements in manners and respect. We attribute this growth to the life lessons Guru George instills in his students. As a parent, our biggest fear is not being able to protect our children 24x7. The staff at Karate America taught our son critical skills for self defense, stranger danger, bullying, respect for others and more importantly respect for self. We highly recommend Karate America for children of all ages to help build core life lessons and re-enforce the values taught at home.
