Reviews of Bra Genie
Rude owner
The owner is so rude I would never even think about going there.. I brought a out of town guest there.she spent 700.00 on bras and lingerie. Instead of thanking me. The owner chided me for using online websites to order my bras. I did purchase the bra she fitted ..however online websites can save me 30 percent. Fresh pair has sales on the same merchandise she carries. She never has a sale just discontinued items. She is rude do not go there unless you like to be verbally a used

After waiting for almost half an hour, I was finally shown into a room with a fitter. She was less than discrete, telling me not to cover myself because she has seen it all before and I was nothing special. No woman wants to hear this. Then she told me that I was a double J (I am a DDD, nowhere near as large as she told me I was). The bras she wanted to show me were all lacy and mature looking and when I asked for something younger looking, she told me I didn't have that option because of my size. I left with tears in my eyes, and when my fiance complained they told him that it was just "cup shock" and that I would get over it. Worst service ever.

Excellent service and a huge selection of bras and panties to fit every taste and budget. I love having well fitting and attractive bras and this is the place to go. Pricier than the usual department store but SO worth it!

Just a quick note - don't confuse this store for anything having to do with the stupid infomerical gimmick "bra" the Genie Bra.

I kept putting off making the drive from the Southshore and boy was that a mistake. I had a very short wait, my own fault for not making an appointment, and the service was AMAZING. I am thrilled with my purchases and finally have bras that fit! Very worth the time and money, it makes everything else fit and look better. It's worth it to ensure you have a proper foundation ladies!
By Heather November 10, 2010 at 12:28 PMVery Poor Post-Sales Treatment
The bra my daughter was sold fit, but it provided so little support, she was in pain after wearing it for a week. The owner tried to convince us that bras can only be worn for two days, "and then they stretch and stretch and stretch," so have to be washed after two wearings, then after being washed have to be allowed to dry and shrink back to their original size. Thus, she says customers should own at least three bras: 1 to wear, 1 in the laundry, and 1 in the drawer. Great for sales! I have owned a lifetime of bras in large cup sizes & have NEVER had a bra lose its support after a week's wear. My daughter was also sold a pair of panties, which, within the first 10 minutes of wear, began rolling down her backside. The owner said, "Well, she should have tried them on first." She DID try them on first, and was assured by the fitter they fit. Although we were very polite, the owner treated us with disdain, and did nothing to make it right. It was a very upsetting experience for us both.
By MarMac July 26, 2010 at 05:40 PMFinally!!! A BRA THAT DOESN'T HURT ME!!!!
I work 12 hour shifts in a hospital and i sweat like a pig. I am a BIG Girl and all of my bras from LB kept popping wires and hurting my sides. I never knew that wearing a bra was not supposed to hurt. Thank god the ladies at the Bra Genie measured me. I ended up being a size 42F and now all of my bras are comfortable and fit correctly. I bought all of my pretty weekend bras first, but my work bras are fabulous and wick away the sweat and hold me in. I have never had one moment of buyer's remorse at this store. I even made an exchange because I changed my mind and they were very gracious and professional. THANK YOU GENIE!!!

Brianna, I apologize that you had such a bad experience. I noticed your review was dated March, which is the month of our annual Swim Suit Trunk Show. That might explain why you were offerred a swimsuit. The store is often very crowded due to our well-earned success as THE place to go for perfectly fitted bras, swimwear and shapewear. We have a huge following and loyal client base but as I've learned in my 10 years of bra fitting experience, you can't please everyone. Although with our inventory of over 6000 bras, and my staff of expertly trained fitters, we certainly do try.
By Jeannie Emory May 12, 2010 at 01:45 PM28s and 30s for the skinny girls!
I have NEVER had a fitting as great as the one at Bra Genie! I don't think the girl with the bad experience waited long enough to be fit in a room, because the one on one experience I had was phenomenal! They were SO BUSY, but they took their time with me to find exactly what I asked for!!!!
I ended up wearing a 30 E and some 28 Fs. I even got a swim suit! I was perky and full without that pesky feeling of the bra creeping up my back! I LOVE BRA GENIE!!
horrible
The color of the place totally blinded me, I kept blinking and blinking. Then when someone finally came to help me, they were no help at all. I felt like i was being taken care of by a monkey. I asked for for a bra they gave me a swim suit.I do not recommend them at all, unless you love being helped by a stupid monkey.
