CARPET ATTRACTS DIRT

Looptex carpet installed 9/2011. Terrible customer service from Home Depot and Looptx- who failed to honor warranty. Here it is, only 6 years later, I have to replace this disgusting carpet- this time with plank vinyl.
Looptex "Euphoric' is the worst carpet I have ever seen, or owned. It attracts, rather than repelling dirt. The fibers glum together, and ridges form when you vacuum it. Every carpet cleaning company I've used (3-4 X's a yr with this junk) told me it was defective. Fibers STILL coming up! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!

Bad carpet, horrible customer service

thinking the reason the carpet threads were coming out because the carpet was very dense, I didn't contact Home Depot until after the year warranty was up. Home Depot said they couldn't do anything for me. Three years later, the threads continue to pop out in non-high traffic areas. It looks awful. Lawrel Springs is supposedly excellent for high traffic areas but I already have packed down areas. I spoke with a carpet installer who told me it is obviously a manufacturer defect and that there is obviously a delamination problem on the backing of the carpet. I've bought a LOT of carpet in my days and this is completely poor quality and unacceptable. I'm wondering how they stay in business.

This company is scamming people

They provide stores good quality sample squares (4x4"). For example, we brought home several Truly Soft II samples after we placed an order. On 9/22/2014 they delivered a carpet that matched in color, was labeled as we ordered but was 30-40% less in thread count. I had the installers cut me a piece so I could bring it back to the store and show them. The installers and Home Depot agreed the carpet was inferior to the sample. We reordered on 9/22/2014. Home Depot called Looptex Mills and had their management check the quality of the 2nd order and they guaranteed it was a Truly Soft II. Today, 9/27, they delivered another carpet, again labeled to match our order but again the thread count doesn't match the sample. Installers agreed it is not the same quality. Home Depot is crediting me $400 which is about a 40% discount to match the quality of the carpet.

My recommendation is that all companies should stop using Looptex Mills as their supplier. They are not going to deliver the same quality as their samples. You will not be satisfied.

Reviews are right

Carpet lasted only a few months before it started frizzing and showing bare spots, even in rooms with no traffic. I would LOVE to know if anyone actually got their warranty claim approved. It wasn't cheap carpet price wise but I think the contract grade would have lasted longer. Stainmaster by Looptex Mills is absolute junk. Any one in the law field reading this? This looks like a shoe-in for an easy class action with just the 20 or so people here who had the same problem!

Inferior Quality Carpet

Don is absolutely correct! Looptex carpet is a homeowners nightmare. After three and a half years the Looptex carpet in my home became severely delaminated. I contacted the local Home Depot
store where it was purchased. I then took samples to the store that clearly showed a lamination flaw. Home Depot contacted Looptex to have an inspector come to access the problem. However, they were told by Looptex the carpet was not guarantee... (not even on a bad run?) The breakdown is so bad the backing can be peeled off with no effort and is pulverizing, not to mention the large amount of fibers that continue to be vacuumed out. I have built, renovated and remodeled a number homes in my lifetime and NEVER have I had this issue with carpet, nor with a company not standing behind their product. I am now in the process of working with HD who has offered to pay for half my new carpet. Generous though it may seem, why do I have to pay for Looptext's poor quality merchandise? No wonder they didn’t guarantee it. ..should never have been sold to the public in the first place. BUYERS BEWARE!

DON'T BUY THIS CARPET! YOU WILL BE SORRY.

I wish I read these reviews BEFORE wasting my money on this absolute garbage! I purchased carpet in January of 2011 from Home Depot. Carpet debonded from backing and caused mildew smell in pad after professional cleaning. Moderate traffic areas are worn down like 10 year old carpet. They denied my claim without sending an inspector out to examine. This carpet is going to be rolled up and dropped off in front of my local Home Depot! With a sign that reads LOOPTEX SUCKS!

Horrible

Do NOT install this in anything but a light traffic area. The manufacturer states that it is a "crushing effect" and not "wear," so they will not back the warranty. I bought this carpet and paid more for it for the simple fact that it was a 15 year warranty and was supposed to be great for high traffic areas. Within a few months, it looked HORRIBLE. You're better off buying a cheap carpet than going with this. The company flat out SUCKS since they will not stand behind their product or warranty. I think it's time for the Better Business Bureau to get involved with my claim. I had it installed in about 1600 sq ft of my house, and was going to do my master bedroom with it when I got enough money, but I would rather the carpet not match than go with this again!

Looptex Mills Carpet/Company "The Worst"

We purchased out carpets from lowes for 3 rooms. In less than a years time they started to fall apart in all different ways! I contacted Lowes and unfortunately it was just 3days over the 1 year mark from date of purchase.. But they said they would contact the manufacturer, and until today I never even knew the manufacturers name. It was not included in my packet..(
